What will the future bring

Life sometimes takes an interesting turn, or many interesting turns at once. It's a beautiful spring day.

The third cab company I tried accepted my online booking for this afternoon. But after waiting for a while, I found out that the cab was not coming. So I phoned to order another cab from the same company, but they told me that my area was not covered. They referred me to another cab company, which is one that failed to work previously, but I phoned them anyway. Although I did actually succeed in speaking to someone, I was mysteriously diverted to a full mailbox, where I could clearly not obtain a cab. So here I am still, sitting in my office, wondering what to do next.
Wait. I can try Uber. So I download the app. But I can’t set it up without a phone number. Luckily, a coworker has a mobile phone handy, and I enter her number into the app. The text message with the verification code gets sent, but for some reason the text message never arrives. This is rather perplexing, given that the two of us are standing together checking it.
from Revelations (skipping all the misogyny)
Here is wisdom. Let them that hath understanding count the number of the beast; for it is the number of a man; and his number is 666.
They that overcometh shall inherit all things.
Do I really believe that everyone figured out quantum gravity last year sometime, just because they are saying so now (without providing any hard evidence)? In the past, I may well have been criminally naive, but no longer. And I am not going to blame the devil for the crimes of traffickers, still trying to evade their fate. (That includes you, Big Brother). A good witch knows how to forgive and to love, but still keeps fighting for the cause, no matter what.
This is what happened when I tried to talk to Michael Rios on Facebook this morning: his messages were all blanked out and he disappeared from my friends list. Hopefully, this is a dud version of Facebook, and everything will be working again soon.
I really am in America. No, I don’t want goods shipped to a forest in New Zealand. Please allow me to change my address for the purposes of shopping. Best wishes, Marni.
Imagine living in a world where you expect to get credit for all your work. Difficult, yes, but some people actually live in this state of mind. When confronted with a witch who has ideas, it is essential that they inform the witch that they already knew all about the ideas, although of course there is no solid evidence that this was the case. This is not always a case of blatant theft. Often, the idea of a witch making a difference creates so much cognitive dissonance in the privileged mind that it creates the necessary false memories to justify its decisions. The brain really works that way.
So how do we break down the barrier? Where do we even start?
